Born in Trinidad and currently residing in Goa, India, Ashmita Maharaj is a controversial Trinidadian and a ‘consummate West Indian’, with a fondness of cricket, CARICOM and Caribbean culture. She is currently the project lead of a sustainable livelihood programme in Orissa, one of India's poorest states.

A Barbados-born, Jamaica-resident social worker and feminist, Kathy Lehay is an independent care worker and gender specialist who provides one-on-one skills training and social support for disadvantaged women and families in Jamaica. She holds an MA Gender Studies and BA Social Work.

Gus Garcia is a freelance journalist living in London whose love of travel frequently brings him to the Caribbean, and his home island, Barbados. Gus is currently rediscovering the Caribbean and intends to conquer as much of the region as possible with his camera, and his pen.

She is passionate about the persistent underdeveloped state of economies in the Caribbean and ultimately aims to be a key driving force in the quest for development. Zachary Rose is a Canadian citizen with a Bachelor's degree from McGill University in Political Science, specializing in the developing world and international relations. Aside from politics, his passions include fencing, acting and directing for the theatre and cooking with woks.
