Guyana’s President Bharrat Jagdeo nominated for Nobel Peace Prize
By Antillean, News Desk
Stabroek News in Guyana has confirmed that President Bharrat Jagdeo has been nominated for the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to combat climate change. He was nominated by Professor David Dabydeen, Director of the Centre for Caribbean Studies at the University of Warwick.
President Jagdeo has led a campaign to fight climate change by monetizing the value of Guyana’s forests, and in November 2009 signed a deal with Norway which will see that country giving Guyana up to US$250 million by 2015 to preserve its rainforests¹.
The Guyanese President has expressed some hope that this model could be looked at by other forest-rich, developing states ahead of the Copenhagen Summit this month, where a number of low income states are expected to make a case for financial assistance to cope with the impact of climate change and to meet the requirements of proposed new carbon emission targets.
In October this year, US President Barack Obama was controversially awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.

it’s amazing that this man has managed to dupe the so.called international community with his environmental charade
this man does not even have one repeat one vehicle in his govt that is not powered by diesel or gas. no govt agency has alternative energy and on to other matters he supports torture, his chief spokesman kwame mccoy is a known child molester caught on tape, jagdeo supports torture, extra judicial killing, crime, corruption and you name it
he was in bed with a cocaine mogul just convicted in the US, his minister of health bought spy equipment on behalf of the govt for the same drug dealer, his police chief and home affairs minister are both banned from the US for involvement in the cocaine trade, another home affairs minister and police chief are also on visa bans
need i say more about this criminal named bharrat jagdeo?
the facts are there for all to see just read the Guyana newspapers named Kaieteur News and Stabroek News
[...] Agreeably surprised, they wondered how Guyana “received a disproportionate amount of coverage and access given its size for its progressive and leading stance on climate change.” Time magazine nominated Guyanese president Bharrat Jagdeo, as one of Heroes of the Environment 2008. This year Time magazine included Mohammed Nasheed in its Heroes of the Environment 2009. It was also announced, [...]

We deniers want Al Gore, Canada’s David Suzuki, all politicians, scientists, teachers and anyone else helping push the world to war against the non existent enemy of climate variation, arrested to stand trial for high treason. Because for 23 years this doomsday from humans was hidden atop the polar caps, mountains and deep in the oceans and rainforests and we fell for this feeding frenzy of disco science hook line and sinker. How obedient and unquestioning we have become during a time when we are living longer than at any time in history as a species. Or is this our fault for being such lazy citizens of an era where truth is buried somewhere in the sewer of untreated information we call the Internet? Say NO to “SAVE THE PLANET” and YES to I LOVE MY PLANET.
