Steve Blackett deserved sacking from day 1. Many of these ministers seriously have no relevant experience. A former DJ as Minister of Culture who says "we all came on the same ship" during the slave trade? Tourism requires a man with marketing know-how, and I am shocked at how the luminaries in this sector like Sue Springer are never tapped to join cabinet roles. We need to get tourism moving under a real minister! Unfortunately a lot of the lag and delays that happens in government has little to do with the Minister of the day and more with the PS and civil servants who really don't have to care about working, when only Her Majesty through the Governor General could fire them.
